This month, I was given some flower ephemera from Cheeky Studio to use on my page.
I loved the flowers from Cheeky Studio. They reminded me of the Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection, Bohemian Dream. Don't they match perfectly?
I used photos from my friend's 30th birthday party. Some of the photos were really dark, so when I photographed the completed layout, they aren't perfect.

Mike's cousin got married a couple years ago and we traveled to Ohio for the wedding. The invitations and bridesmaids dresses were red. Their flowers were red roses, so this collection from Carta Bella. I have had it for a couple years and don't remember what it is called.

Last May, my BFF Lauren (who lives in Los Angeles) was on a business trip in NYC. Our third BFF, Dara, works at a hospital in NYC, so the 3 of us were able to meet up for dinner. I stayed in Lauren's hotel room that night and the next morning we had brunch and then she flew home.
Since I had taken the day off of work, I decided to hang out in the big apple for the day. I have been wanting to go to the 9-11 Museum, so I took the subway and walked through the museum. I am glad I did it alone, so that I could go at my own pace. It was incredibly moving and I think they did an incredible job with the museum. I highly recommend checking it out.
I loved this buildings paper from Carta Bella's Metropolitan Girl collection. I struggle to use papers with big scenes on them. I am really happy with how this one came out.
Here's the layout I created:

I can't believe it's January already! The holidays went fast! Here's this month's sketch at Stick it Down:
I'm not quite ready to be done scrapbooking the holidays just yet. In fact, I end up scrapping Christmas all year long, since they are my favorite pages to scrap. I don't do a December Daily. I prefer 12x12 size and I don't do something Christmas related every day. I create an album for each year (chronological) and about half of it ends up being Christmas.
Every year, I host an ugly sweater party at the bar where I work. This year, I dressed up as a snow woman with a white tutu. It was really fun! I love the photo of my parents and I on the left page.

Green Glitter Thickers
White Heidi Shine Spray
Recollections Christmas Noel Mini Stickers (below) - aren't they the cutest? They matched this Carta Bella collection perfectly. You will see some of these stickers throughout the layout.
This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "word play." There will be a word each week to use somewhere on your layout. This week's word is "love." (You can use love, lovely, loving etc).
I created this page as the title page for my 2017 album. I absolutely love this photo of my husband and I at a friend's wedding. We were both wearing burgundy and matched perfectly. Since I used the color photo on the wedding page, I decided to make it black and white for the title page. I am really thrilled with how this turned out.
Most of this is from the Hip Kit Club (last spring)
Papers and embellishments from Crate Paper Oasis and Chasing Dreams Collections
I have looked back over some of the layouts that I created this year. Here's my favorites in no particular order. I love Christmas, and I have more xmas layouts in my album each year than anything else, so it's no surprise that many of these are Christmas layouts.
Happy New Year! This month at Lasting Memories, our theme is "word play." There will be a word each week to use somewhere on your layout. This week's word is "happy." (You can use happy, happiness, happiest etc).
I decided to create a layout for my Dad's birthday. He was 64 in November. We went out to dinner at a local restaurant and then went to see Murder on the Orient Express. He loved the original movie and was so excited for this re-make.
All paper and embellishments are from the Carta Bella Traditions Collection.
I've had a little bit of time to scrap this week. I was inspired by this layout by Rachel O'Neal for the Paper Issues blog. Isn't it adorable?
I decided to make a 2 page scene. I sketched out what I wanted. Please excuse my poor drawing skills, LOL.
This is what I ended up with. I used photos of my house in the snow and some of my Christmas decorations. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out!
I am entering the Paper Issues challenge on Facebook. I used white, snowflakes, layers, stickers and ink.

This month, our theme is December Holidays and Traditions. Our challenge is to use more than 2 photos on your layout. This is a two week challenge. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
These photos are from Christmas 2016. We were all opening presents at my brother's house. For my parents and nephew, we bought them tickets to a show, so they are holding up the papers that say where they are going. We took my nephew to a Flyers game, my dad to a comedy show at Helium Comedy Club, and my mom to a QVC studio tour.
My mom had a siamese cat, who passed away right after Christmas. I got her a cute doorstop. My sister in law has a westie, so I got her a light up westie in a Santa suit. My brother wrapped my husband's gift in princess paper - hilarious!
My name is Lauren. I'm 34 and live in Philadelphia, PA with my husband of ten years (Mike) and our two dogs (Rocky the Boxer and Daphne the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). I work as an account manager for a yearbook company.
I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, card making, reading, and traveling.
